After reading the reviews I was terrified when I found out that I had to have my Thyroid Surgery on 9/20 at this hospital. My Surgeon Dr. David Salley and the staff in same day surgery was nothing short of Amazing. I had to say over night and I was taken to the 5th floor room 507. Penny my nurse for the evening was professional and caring I could not have asked for anyone better. When she was leaving in the morning she brought Lattice, my morning nurse in to meet me, again Amazing. Before I went home Mary Bentley the nurse Leader came in to make sure my say was all that I needed it to be. You guys Rock. Thanks so much.
Went in two years ago when my ankle rolled and I ask for them to x-ray it they didn't they said oh it's a sprain gave me crutches and told me to elevate it. Guess what? Just found out like I thought my ankle was broken.
My daughter slipped and hit her head on the playground & was bleeding pretty badly. EMS came out but said I could drive her & recommended Chippenham. The check in process wasn't my favorite - so many options on the kiosk and none of them exactly fit while I'm holding my daughter whose head is bleeding - but once we were checked in and called by a nurse, we were very quickly triaged & walked back to the Peds ER. I can't say enough about the staff in the ER. They checked her out quickly & let me stay next to her the whole time. They were SO compassionate & calmed my fears - even though they couldn't tell me much about what could be wrong. The ER was PACKED but the nurses were always around to answer any questions. We ended up, after a few hours in the ER, being admitted to the PICU for further watching because her oxygen was low & she got sick whenever she moved. It was a truly terrifying experience but the staff did an amazing job with us - and sweetly were even concerned about me, making sure I had food because I wouldn't leave her. THANK YOU to all of the nurses & doctors who took such great care of her!
This rating is not for the Hospital at all. This is for RN Sabrina who deserves five stars and a chocolate. She was dedicated, straightforward, sweet and spicy at the same time. Very attentive to the patients needs and her coworkers. Yes, I had time to observe the way she works from day 1 because she was a shining light in the darkness. She gave great advice along with Angel (one of the desk secretaries), when I had some desitions to make. She may not see this review, but if you do; I want to thank you anyways for being the dopest RN at Tuckers. Stay humble and please keep working the way that you do. I'll never forget you for how you treated me on my stay. Hope one day to see you. Much love, Tasha
First let me clarify that I was in the out-patient program, not in-patient ward, so they are two totally separate places. I have taken part in this program twice, once last year while going through a manic/psychotic episode and this year due to a depressive/dissociative episode, both because of bipolar. I found both times that I attended were great experiences and I personally would recommend it to others if need be. I felt like the entire staff cared about what they were doing and cared about their patients, although at times they may have sometimes seemed burnt out or the tiniest bit pre-occupied, but that is understandable in small doses, especially seeing as how they were more short-staffed this year than last year. However, overall they still seemed very attentive to everyone's needs, seemed to be running a thorough program, and I felt very safe being there.
I went to Tucker's about 60 days ago to get off of suboxone. I had been on suboxone 8/2mg tablets twice daily for 10 years straight & my doctor cut me off unexpectedly & my Medicaid could not find me another suboxone doctorππβΉ So I decided it was time to get off the suboxone for good!!! I knew it was going to be hard but I had no idea how hardπ’π Tucker's definitely lessened my detox from a 10 to a 5 using Kloniden (withdrawal med) muscle relaxer (for your leg pain & cramps) Anxiety med (for that anxious feeling inside from not having the suboxone in your body anymore) & trazodone (a sleeping med to help you sleep easier during detox) These meds used together defiently helped me during my detox!!!ππ The physilaty is very nice & the staff/nurses are AMAZINGπππ Especially a RN who's name is Alexaπππ I really liked her the most because she was so sweet & caring towards meππ & made it her top priority to take care of me & my needs immediately!! Even when some of the other nurses would tell me I had to wait for meds (and I was hurting very bad at the time) Alexa would come to my room just to check on me & see that I was uncomfortable & would take me right to the med cart to get my meds!!πππ She is defiently nurse of the year in my bookπ I couldn't have made it through my suboxone detox without herπππ Thank you so very much Alexa for all of your help & for having such a caring heart & for all of your support honey!!!!ππ Words cant explain how grateful I am for having you there honeyππ
I just returned home after having total knee replacement yesterday. I would travel from anywhere in the world to have Dr. Miller operate on me and to enjoy - yes, enjoy - another stay at Chippenham Hispital. From the minute I arrived yesterday, to departing today, e.v.e.r.y. single person I came in contact with was kind, caring, uplifting and totally professional. Food service is excellent, the RNs (lucky lady, I had two gentleman RNs) were exceptional. I can't say enough about the cheerful, caring, competent team at Chippenham Hospital.
I just used 3 stars so I wouldn't affect the overall rating. I'm scheduled for a rather complicated surgery here on March 19th 2018 and after reading these reviews I'm very concerned. Is there anyone I can address my concerns to? Thanks Addendum: I'm going to be at Chippenham on 7101 Jahnke Road.
I loved the staff there. They were so understanding and just great to my baby girl. The anesthesiologist Kathryn Goins was wonderful. She made sure to answer all of the questions to my concerns. My phone gave her a false review because it froze and I wanted to make sure she got the credit that she deserved. So Thank you to the staff and especially to Dr. Kathryn Goins for all you ladies do.
Spent a few days here with my wife for Labor & Delivery and recovery/follow up. The team in the L&D area were wonderful and Dr. Brown was amazing. The recovery mommy/baby area was OK. The staff were super friendly and would take the time to explain everything and answer questions. We were lucky enough to get a room with a second bed (as well as the couch) so that I would stay with them. The couch had stains in it and wasn't much more comfortable than the extra bed. We only had one blind that worked, as the handles on the other two were broken off. I'm giving L&D 5 stars, the recovery area 3.5 stars.
Excellent nursing and medical staff. Highly recommended, especially for cardiac care. Iβve have first-hand experience during the past 4 years.
I've been coming here off and on and had no problems or trouble with anyone. Every time I come I would get the valet parking. Every one of them was very nice to me, and even helped me to the car. The front desk would always greet me. When I had surgery, all the nurse's was very polite to me and my husband. I have nothing but good things to say about this hospital. Thanks to everyone that works at Chippenham Hospital. β€
Went to the ER today. Was treated by the MOST curteous, professional yet friendly staff. Noone wants to be sick but they made the situation as comfortable as possible.
My mom was in CVICU in the Levinson Heart Hospital for over 2 months, was very impressed at how well the nurses cared for her and how knowledgeable they were about her condition. Any time I called to check on her they would let me know everything going on. I could tell they truly cared about her. Everything was very clean and sanitary. The doctors there are great. With her array of issues each doctor was wonderful. Thankfully she is now doing great thanks to all of the staff there!
This is the first hospital I went to after my relocation. It is small compare to others but parking is easier if you parked the outside lots and not in the garage structure. The staffs are friendly during the visit checkup. The first checkup was short, the second with a different department was 1 hr long wait. Will update after more interactions with this hospital.
Short ER wait time, excellent care and even a follow-up phone call to make sure all was well and I had everything I needed. Dr. Wornom did an excellent job stitching my eyelid.
I have been attending Cardiac Rehab since January. I feel fortunate to be able to exercise in an environment where I know I am being attended to by exercise physiologists and nurses who know my medical conditions and needs. They are so helpful and caring. I am thankful for this program.
My experience was with Outpatient Surgery. Everyone was professional and personable. They treated me as an individual and did not rush me through. I return for the same surgery on my other foot Friday and am expecting a similarly positive experience.
